Nine Meditations by Kathleen Anderson consists of a copper bowl filled with quartz crystal stones, 450 million years old, collected from the Shawangunk mountains and taken to the banks of the Hudson River. Participants hold the stones in their hands while listening to nine meditations being read. When the vessel sounds a second time, participants throw the stones into the river. Each are asked to focus their awareness on the crystal structure of the stone and its ability to amplify and transform energy and matter. Memory + Stone + Water = Hieros Gamos
